A rumor circulated the office area that someone was fired. It was the custodian that dropped his access card. I feel guilty, as it was my fault he never retrieved his access card and was fired. I believe the ends outweighs the means for this one, however. What is done is done.

Today, Jean contacted me. She has been through a great deal of grief. She could not handle my the death of Marcus. I am glad my sister contacted me. I missed her. She wants to meet soon. I am busy as I am laying low and trying to sort this all out. The best I can do is June 14th, so that is when we will meet. I cannot wait.

Clados went into lockdown today as a result of the headlines for the news article. I need to lie low. I cannot risk getting caught for leaking the stories. I just need to continue being one of the patients and not draw attention to myself. Thankfully, I've been getting more puzzles done so Dr. Konnikov thinks I will make a "full recovery" soon.

Today, I met with Rebekah in the diner by 63rd and 8th.

I told her everything about Klaus’ son. About how his original son died because he ingested a hazardous chemical from one of the labs of Clados. About how his death is what led, the Klaus to research and develop cloning for Clados. I told her that the clone Arvo, that I had dinner with, was Klaus’ second chance.

She was astonished. She wrote everything down into a brown notepad. She told me that she would publish it, but that she needed proof. She could not take only my word for it, so I showed her the pictures I took of the evidence.

I am nervous about this whole thing. I will await the front headline for tomorrow’s paper.

When the custodian dropped his keys before, that gave me an idea. I stole another key from a random custodian and was able to open Klaus’ office door. I read his journal with gloves on and quickly put it back. Essentially, the death of his son spurred him to develop the idea of cloning. This pushed him over the edge. It made him hateful and he has something bigger planned than just cloning. I could not believe what I was reading. I took a picture of it and left.

I was expecting something different. I wasn't expecting this, the story of the century, how could the CEO of such a prominent company hold such a secret? And why would he? It sounds like such a noble reason to start this company, it would definitely shut up some of those protesters.

It seemed almost impossible. First I had to break into the main company headquarters’ computer room. Then there was this password puzzle to unlock the databases. It required me to first unscramble some words. There were people hundreds of years into the past. I had to leave my mission and go do research to figure it out.

Ha Ding→ Gandhi

Mad Lane→ Mandela

Net Now→ Newton

Tales Trio→ Aristotle

Once I broke in, what I found was unbelievable. Klaus had a son, who died. Arvo is a clone of Klaus’ dead son. How did his original son die? I need to figure this out. To do this, I need to risk it all and break into the CEO’s office.

Something interesting happened today. While we were eating, he went to the bathroom. Something dropped from his pocket. I tried to tell him he dropped a pill, but then I saw an, ‘M’ on it. Now what is Klaus’ son doing with a clone pill?

I did not tell him what I found. I just took the pill with me. I could not give it back to him. He won’t miss it. I hope he does not notice that he lost it while we were having dinner.

The dinner itself was amazing, I wish I had this amount of money. The menu didn't even have a price! The food as so good I just wanted to concentrate on eating, but I was consistently brought into conversation. It was pretty strange. For the son of a prominent bio-engineer, I would imagine that Arvo would want to continue somewhat in his father's footsteps. Instead, he talked about learning about military tactics. Now why would he want to learn that? Central New York hasn't been anywhere near a war for years, and it doesn't look like we'll be in one anytime soon, right?

I am going to do more research on this.
